"My name is Maria (Rowena to friends) and I live in Hillsborough NJ. I had heard about Brighter Dental on the radio. I had been in the market for a new dentist for a year since my insurance changed and my former dentist did not participate in the new plan. I decided to call and see if they took my insurance and then made an appointment for me and my 16 year old daughter. We went to the Skillman office and were greeted right away by the friendly staff. Stacy his dental assistant was very personable and made me feel comfortable right away. My daughter Arielle was seen by his dental hygienist and she had a good experience with her cleaning. Dr.Singer evaluated my x-rays and proceeded to explain in full detail the dental work that I needed done. There was no pressure nor was he condescending during his consultation. He then gave me a list of the procedures in order of importance and the cost out of pocket. I was able to go home and make an informed decision. "So thankful, I went and bought the entire staff cake and cookies!

I am a patient of Brighter Dental Care, and at 63, I am still afraid when I go to the dentist! I began to have pain in my lower right tooth, when ever I would chew down on something. This unexpected pain could not have come at a worse time. I baby sit during the weekdays, and am in the midst of moving to a new home. Between both, I was feeling so overwhelmed and stressed, that this tooth ache sent me into a panic. It was an additional pressure, added to all that I had on my plate, and I became really upset.

I called the Princeton office and the receptionist got me in the next day as an emergency. I went in and saw Dr. Singer and he explained what I needed to have done. They scheduled me two days later.
When I arrived on Friday, I was beyond nervous. I was so fearful of the pain I anticipated, that I had really worked myself up emotionally. Thankfully, the front desk staff showed concern, and talked with me until I was called in to be seen. I told the dental hygienist how nervous I was, and how I could not deal with pain, especially with all that I had going on right now. She was terrific, and made me feel at ease, and we kidded around a bit, and then Dr. Marmo came in. Once I saw him, my anxiety kicked in 100%, and after he greeted me, I blurted out that I can?t handle pain.

I even told the Dr. that if he could put me asleep, and wake me when the procedure was over, I was fine with that, as I already felt like I was having a nervous meltdown. Dr. Marmo really listened to me, and I knew he understood what I was trying to tell him. All I was thinking about was that "I'm scared and please don't let me feel pain." Dr. Marmo was great and when he began the work, I did not feel a thing. He was just terrific, and made me feel completely at ease. The hygienist was so attentive to me, that I felt like I was among friends. When everything was done, I was so appreciative, that I kissed everyone, and told Dr. Marmo he was now my "Dr. Painless".

The girls at the front desk set me up for my follow up appointment, and when I got in my car to drive home, the relief I felt from all my anticipated fears just seemed to slide off of me; and I felt calm. I needed to do something more to show the staff and Doctor how much I appreciated all they did, so I drove over to a near by store, and bought cake and cookies for the staff, then drove back, before my drive home, to drop it off, and say thank to every one again.

It is such a comfort to know that I can expect the prompt attention, the professionalism, and the help of a terrific staff that is there to help from booking an your appointment, to seeing you through, to the completion of your dental needs. Brighter Dental helps you, no matter how little, or how much dental care you need. I recommend them to everyone!

"My family and I have been relying on Dr. Martin Stess for family dental care since moving to the Flemington area in 1996. We responded to an appealing introductory letter emphasizing the family-oriented nature of his business, and we have not been disappointed.

My children have gone through the usual rounds of orthodontia, and Dr. Stess has worked well with them on regular maintenance during this trying period. When very young they were put off by his sense of humor, but they have grown to trust him as they matured. In their early teens they show little of the “dentist-phobia” common among children. Moreover they are relatively attentive to their daily maintenance and know how to brush and floss properly.

My wife and I both have (or had) Maryland bridges which required repair and rebuild, or on my case replacement with crowns. This process was not much fun, but Dr. Stess did excellent work with both of us – we are satisfied customers.

Dr. Stess has always maintained a reasonable pricing structure and worked well with our insurance providers. Time is always found to deal with dental emergencies. Best of all, his office seems to be filled with smiling people – employees, patients, and the good Doctor himself. Who expects that from a dental visit?"

"Not long ago my sister started to go to Dr. Singer for dental work. I never gave dentists much thought at all. I figured just brush your teeth and that was that. Your teeth lasted as long as they did.

My sister said to me one day when I was having tooth pain that I should go to see her dentist. I figured since I have dental insurance through work I could go and see what could be done. I wasn't paying for it, I was just going to go and see what's what. When I first visited Dr. Singer’s office I was a bit hesitant because of work I had in the past, not very good stories. Dr. Singer saw me personally, not an assistant. He spoke to me for about 10 to 15 minutes told me he was going to take some x-rays and we would go from there. A girl came in and spoke with me and explained to me in detail what was going to happen and if I had any questions. She took the x-rays and left the room. Dr. Singer came back in about 5 minutes and went over my x-rays.

He explained everything in detail and what could be done about my apparent neglect. Never once did he or the woman who took my x-rays ever look down at me or give me this look of "better than me" because I didn't have perfect teeth. It was quite comforting, even though it was bad news. There was no high pressure salesman approach to me having dental work done at his office. Dr. Singer was very personable the entire time. When I was finished in that room we went to the front office and Dr. Singer asked me if I wished to proceed. He gave me his opinion, I agreed, and he showed me how I could afford what needed to be done since my dental insurance really doesn't cover much, to my surprise.

When I decided to go to Dr. Singer’s office for treatment he had everything planed. When to come, how long it would take, what Dr’s I would be seeing, everything and if there ever was a problem with scheduling... no problem, they worked around my crazy schedule. I needed several procedures so they did only so much work at one time as to not leave me laid up for long periods of time. Plus my visits were no more that 45 minutes. Wow, minimal pain, no long visits to the dentist, I might even start to like the dentist. The work that Dr. Singer and his team did on my teeth amazed me. Who knew I needed that much work? Who knew how much I wasn't smiling? I am so impressed with the work and experience that I received from Brighter Dental that I would tell everyone to visit."

"In the spring of this year; our family encountered an emergency with our youngest daughter that required multiple areas of Dentistry. Megan had broken her 2 front teeth; we were panicked and did not know who to call as our family was new to the area. We contacted Brighter Dental as we were in the process of becoming new patients. Quite honestly we did not know what to expect. I called the office and the staff welcomed our call and took us in right away.

The Doctor greeted us and explained that Megan needed to see an Endodontic immediately as her root was exposed. The staff made the arrangements and called the Brighter Dental Princeton Office and Dr. Johnson saw us right away. Dr. Johnson was great with my daughter and made her feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. He explained in detail exactly what needed to be done and completed the initial phase of a pediatric route canal. Directly after this process; Dr. Johnson arranged to have a specialist cosmetically reconstruct Megan’s teeth. They came out wonderful and was able to make them look like new. At that point, the Dr’s had suggested that we consult with the Orthodontics department at Brighter Dental.

I was introduced to Dr. Salvatore who was the Orthodontist that was going to work with Megan on the next step of her process. Dr. Salvatore was amazing. She took the time to review Megan’s case. She went over several different options and explained the differences within the options. She explained what she felt the best approach was based upon the severity of Megan’s injury. She was wonderful with Megan. Dr. Salvatore mapped out a plan in which we were able to quickly start the process. We had many questions along the way. Dr. Salvatore made it a point to return our calls promptly and adjust her schedule to accommodate Megan.

The wonderful thing about Brighter Dental; I was able to go to one place for all our dental needs. The entire team of doctors consulted on Megan’s case and came up with the best approach. One cohesive team made me feel confident and knew that they were acting in the best interest of my daughter and family.

"I first learned of Brighter Dental as a prospect that I was trying to get radio advertising from. I called for months and finally got an appointment to sit down and learn about the practice and what types of advertising they were doing.

After many meetings and a thorough education on how the practice operated, Brighter Dental started advertising with me on WPST.

It was through this learning experience that I decided to switch dentists and go to Brighter Dental. Boy, am I glad! I have never been to a dentist’s office that was so beautiful and inviting!

After a complete check up, including X-rays, Dr. Singer shared what work I was in need of: a cleaning, of course, a new crown, and a wisdom tooth extracted. UGH!

I was treated at both the Robbinsville location and the Princeton location, though it didn’t matter where I was since everyone was friendly and attentive.

The wisdom tooth had to come out because it was pushing on another tooth. I was so afraid to have it done, having had a bad experience some years back. I was petrified, but reassured that everything would be fine. And it was!

The crown was a replacement of an old crown and was finished in a couple of visits. Each of the dentists that treated me are top notch- warm, friendly, compassionate and very caring. As old as I am, I am still a sacredy cat!

It was great to see the same friendly faces each time I walked in the door. It also didn’t hurt to be able to watch TV while the dentists and hygienists worked on me. It really takes your mind off of things.

"I have to tell you about Brighter Dental. I’ve been going to their Princeton Office since I started working in the area. If you’ve put off going back to the dentist because it was painful….. It’s not anymore.

Dental hygienists assist the dentists and also try to make you comfy.

The ladies at the front desk are so good.  They are very accommodating and will make an appointment when it's most convenient for you. They squeeze me in during my lunch hour, and I appreciate it. 
They will even call if they get a cancellation to ask if I'd like to come in sooner.  They are busy but they are always polite.  And they don't overbook. I've rarely waited and if I did it was never more than a few minutes.
They are pro-active when it comes to checking with your insurance company. I never have to worry about coverage.  They get on the phone and check on anything I need. Everyone in the office is very friendly, I like that.
 
The best part is its "One Stop Shopping".   I can see a dentist, periodontist, orthodontist and an endodontist all at the same location.  They have my records & x-rays in the office and can discuss with each other if necessary. 

I recently had braces on for a year. The orthodontist is Dr. Sherry Salvatore.   She is a sweetheart and does a wonderful job.   Getting braces was much simpler and not as painful as I expected.  My teeth are beautiful! Dr. Salvatore is excellent!  My only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner.

"My name is Laura Shapanus and I live in Robbinsville. I am married and have a 6 year old son named Jake. I'm also a fitness instructor and I teach various fitness classes in many different facilities. So my schedule is very hectic. "Since my husband and I relocated to NJ, we needed to find a new dentist. Not long after we moved, however, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. I decided to wait until after all of the surgery, chemo, and radiation treatments were completed.

During my fight to beat breast cancer, I found that cancer treatments affect the entire body, including teeth and gums. Side effects of treatment included taste changes, dry mouth, and sores inside my mouth.

As soon as I was cleared by my oncologist, I made an appointment with Dr. Singer at Brighter Dental in Clementon. My first impression was that he was an intelligent and serious professional (all of my subsequent interactions only serve to confirm this initial judgment). I also found him to be caring, compassionate, and concerned with my well being.

So, yes, I developed tooth decay, and needed to have cavities filled & root canal work. I needed a personal boost, so I decided to have some cosmetic work done also (whitening, veneers). Dr. Singer let me know what needed to be done, asked for my input on how to make me comfortable, and worked out a personalized treatment plan.

The work gets done, I feel better. On one of my later checkups, I was informed that I had 3 small cavities near the gum line. Well, I started crying. All that kept racing through my mind was that I had battled cancer, was felling & looking well, but it was going to haunt me. I really thought all of my teeth were going to fall out. Silly me! Dr. Singer was very kind about it all. He was obviously puzzled at my reaction (after all. Crying over a cavity?!!). But I explained my fears to him. He calmed me down, assured me that he would take care of me, and that I would be fine. I think I even told him it was OK to laugh at me for being such a baby.

My visits at Dr. Singer’s office have done much to lift my self-esteem after going through cancer, being bald, and generally feeling bad!
I found the office to be well-kept. Brighter Dental has a vibrant & caring staff, always encouraging & supportive. The staff is cooperative, skilled, and very good at their jobs. I do note hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a new dental team.

"I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and had the same dentist all my adult life. As my life changed and I met the man of my dreams, I moved to Clementon, NJ. Well, I finally came upon Brighter Dental in Robbinsville and decided to take the chance there. The minute I walked in the door and got down to what needed to be done, I was reassured that I was not going to be judge by what I had not done but what needs to be done from here on. The entire staff made me feel like I was the most important person there. Every thing was explained on why it needed to be done and how it was going to effect the outcome. Dr Singer has established an entire staff of people, from the front desk to the doctors, who main concern is to have your teeth in a better condition then when you walked in. I am totally happy with every thing that they have done for me. It was a long road through every thing that needed to be done but the end result is perfect. I actually look forward to the next visit. I never thought that I would ever recommend a dentist to anyone but Brighter Dental is more than a dentist office. It is a place that can take care of your dental problems with out even having to leave the building. They are a full dental service center. And on top of that, they treated me like they were the one sitting in the chair. That makes the difference. They are a true example of putting the care in Dental Care. End result, I have a bright smile, a better attitude and I have a place that I a am not afraid to go to when I need to get dental work done. Thanks!"

"When I moved to the Princeton, NJ area, I hadn’t seen a dentist in over 7 years. I can’t begin to describe how nervous I was at the prospect of sitting down in a dentist’s chair again. I was sure I would get scolded by the dentist, laughed at by the assistants, and then be subjected to hours worth of painful procedures. Then there’s the hassle of paperwork. And how am I going to afford everything? I had insurance, but that didn’t cover everything. Needless to say, seeing the dentist was NOT something I was looking forward to. I didn’t hear about Brighter Dental through a testimonial, but instead chose them because they were the closest to my home and work. I had the mindset that “if I don’t like the guy, I’ll go somewhere else.” Well, I still can’t believe how lucky I am to have made that choice!

I showed up 5 minutes early for my first appointment and was in the chair at the actual time of my appointment! This already separated Brighter Dental from every other doctor’s office I’ve seen in my life. Dr. Singer gathered my dental history and X-rays together, then sat down with me and talked about what I needed done. There was no scolding, no condescending attitude, and no “shame on you.” He explained things very informally in a language easy to understand. He also broke things down into categories, such as “what needs to be done ASAP” and “what can wait a little while.” There was no pressure to have any of the procedures done, though; as Dr. Singer stated several times that it was my choice.

Although I was relieved to get thru the initial consult without a scolding, my mind immediately shifted to my next biggest concerns: how far do I have to travel for each procedure and how am I going to pay for this? The first concern was alleviated immediately by Dr. Singer, who said that all procedures were done at the same office. I couldn’t believe it! I’ve heard some horror stories from colleagues about travelling to several specialists for different procedures. Brighter Dental brought the specialists to me! Before leaving that first appointment, one of the Brighter Dental assistants sat with me for 20min and discussed payment options.

I visited Brighter Dental Care 8 times in 6 weeks for a variety of procedures: wisdom tooth extraction, cavity filling, cleaning, root canal, and crown placement. I put myself on their “cancellation list” and was called several times to schedule appointments for the next day. This might not work for some, but I found it to be a great system. Each visit was a true pleasure, and I got to know all the staff at BDC pretty well. They were all very professional, but still very approachable. They always made sure I was comfortable and

There are many reasons why I recommend Dr. Singer to my friends and colleagues, but one stands out in particular. I had a wisdom tooth extracted on a Friday afternoon and, despite my best efforts, couldn’t get the bleeding to subside. I called Dr. Singer’s emergency number at 10:15pm and left a message, figuring that I might get a call the next day. Well, my phone rang at 10:30pm and it was Dr. Singer himself! He wasn’t working late at the office, but was instead calling me from his house! I could hear him cleaning dishes in the background. He spent 15 minutes on the phone with getting very specific information out of me, and then gave me a precise list of what to do. I hung up and, despite the pain of a dry socket, couldn’t believe he called. I was even more shocked when he called the next night to check up on me—yes, on a Saturday night!

I couldn’t be happier with the treatment I received from Dr. Singer and his group at Brighter Dental Care. My teeth look and feel great. Dr. Singer’s group went above and beyond to make my experience first class. I would highly recommend BDC to anyone looking for a great dentist with friendly and professional support staff."
